FRP septic tanks are monolithic wastewater treatment units manufactured by filament winding technology, offering exceptional corrosion resistance and structural strength. With leak-proof performance, lightweight design, and smooth internal surfaces that improve treatment efficiency, they provide a durable, easy-to-install, and long-lasting alternative to traditional concrete or metal septic tanks.
Fortis manufactures FRP septic tanks for decentralized wastewater collection and primary treatment in residential developments, hotels, resorts, schools, hospitals, factories, farms, worker camps and remote communities. Our range includes compression-molded SMC units and filament-wound cylindrical tanks, allowing the construction, chamber arrangement, openings and dimensions to be matched to the project. Standard volumes run from 1 to 2.5 m³ in the SMC range and from 20 to 130 m³ in the filament-wound range. As a China FRP septic tank manufacturer, we can match your requirement to an existing model or assess a custom configuration.
Fortis manufactures two FRP septic tank families instead of forcing every project into one construction method. Our compact FT-STT fiberglass septic tanks are compression-molded from SMC under heat and pressure for repeatable shell dimensions and wall thickness. For higher-capacity systems, the cylindrical FT-STF range is produced by computer-controlled filament winding to build circumferential reinforcement and structural stability.
If your project also requires pipes, storage tanks, gratings or other composite components, view our complete FRP product range.
| Tank type | Standard volume | Manufacturing route | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| SMC molded FRP septic tank | 1–2.5 m³ | SMC formed under heat and pressure using hydraulic compression molding | Compact decentralized systems, repeat project quantities and fixed model geometry |
| Filament-wound FRP septic tank | 20–130 m³ | Computer-controlled glass-fiber winding around a cylindrical shell | Community, commercial and larger-site duties requiring higher volume and project-specific connections |
| Model | Volume | External dimensions (L × W × H) | Average thickness | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FT-STT1 | 1 m³ | 1740 × 1000 × 1000 mm | 3.5 mm | 58 kg |
| FT-STT1.5 | 1.5 m³ | 1880 × 1015 × 1230 mm | 5 mm | 95 kg |
| FT-STT2a | 2 m³ | 2000 × 1270 × 1292 mm | 5 mm | 100 kg |
| FT-STT2b | 2 m³ | 2370 × 1162 × 1190 mm | 7 mm | 138 kg |
| FT-STT2.5a | 2.5 m³ | 2448.5 × 1268.5 × 1302 mm | 7 mm | 180 kg |
| FT-STT2.5b | 2.5 m³ | 2470 × 1280 × 1300 mm | 7 mm | 180 kg |
Each standard SMC model uses two internal partition plates. Cover, gasket and fastening configurations vary by model and are confirmed on the approved drawing.
The FT-STF series covers 20–130 m³. Representative models are shown below; intermediate capacities are available within the series.
| Model | Volume | Diameter | Total length | Shell thickness | Baffles |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FT-STF14 | 20 m³ | 2300 mm | 4850 mm | 7 mm | 1 |
| FT-STF21 | 50 m³ | 2800 mm | 8100 mm | 7 mm | 2 |
| FT-STF30 | 80 m³ | 3200 mm | 10000 mm | 8 mm | 2 |
| FT-STF33 | 100 m³ | 3500 mm | 10400 mm | 11 mm | 2 |
| FT-STF36 | 130 m³ | 3500 mm | 13550 mm | 13 mm | 2 |
These dimensions are standard references, not a substitute for installation review. Final selection must account for burial depth, groundwater, backfill, surface loading and local requirements.
Our FRP septic tank range can be configured for:
SMC tanks use compression-molded components and fixed tooling, making them suitable for compact standard models and repeat quantities. Filament-wound tanks use controlled fiber placement around a cylindrical shell and cover a much larger standard capacity range.
Only after the burial structure and load condition have been reviewed. Vehicle load, cover depth, groundwater and backfill can change the required shell, foundation or anchoring arrangement. A standard shell thickness should not be treated as a blanket traffic-load rating.
Yes. Connection size and position, connection method, baffle arrangement, access covers and selected accessories can be reviewed against the project drawing and manufacturing feasibility.
Not by default. A septic tank separates and partially treats wastewater; the required downstream treatment or dispersal method depends on the project and local regulations.
