FRP Pipe

FRP Pipe

FRP Pipe Manufacturer | GRP Pipes & Fittings | Fortis

FRP pipes provide a high-performance pipeline solution with outstanding resistance to corrosion, scaling, and harsh operating conditions. Their advantages lie in long service life, low maintenance requirements, and stable performance rather than initial cost, making FRP piping an ideal choice for industrial, municipal, and marine fluid transportation systems.

FRP Pipe Manufacturer for Industrial Piping Systems

Fortis is a China-based FRP pipe manufacturer supplying corrosion-resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic pipes and compatible fittings for industrial and infrastructure projects. Our FRP and GRP piping systems are engineered around the conveyed medium, operating temperature, design pressure, installation conditions and required connection method rather than selected by diameter alone.

Supported by eight filament-winding production lines, Fortis supplies small-bore industrial pipe through large-diameter FRP and GRP pipe up to 4000 mm. Available configurations include different resin systems, pressure classes, wall constructions, joint methods, flanges and elbows. These piping products form part of our wider range of industrial FRP products for water supply, wastewater, chemical processing, desalination, geothermal, mining, marine and firewater applications.

FRP and GRP Pipe Options

Product Type Use Available Configuration
FRP / GRP Pipe Water supply, drainage, wastewater and industrial fluid transfer Custom diameter, length, wall construction and connection method
Epoxy FRP / GRE Pipe Higher-temperature or chemically demanding process service Resin and laminate design selected according to operating conditions

Applications of Fortis FRP Piping Systems

  • Water and wastewater: Water transmission, drainage, sewage treatment and corrosive wastewater pipelines.
  • ♦  Chemical processing: Transfer of corrosive liquids, salts, acids and process media after resin compatibility review.
  • ♦  Power, desalination and geothermal: Intake, outfall, cooling-water, brine and utility piping under project-specific conditions.
  • ♦  Oilfield and firewater: Lightweight, corrosion-resistant pipelines for remote and demanding sites.
  • ♦  Mining and marine facilities: Fluid-transfer systems exposed to moisture, salts and corrosive operating environments.

Why Source FRP Pipes from Fortis?

  • ♦  More than 20 years of composite manufacturing experience
  • ♦  33 production lines supporting customized and project-based orders
  • ♦  Pipe, flange and elbow coordination from one supplier
  • ♦  Custom material, diameter, length, joint and installation design
  • ♦  ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • ♦  Support for drawings, inspection records, packaging and export delivery
  • ♦  Quality control begins with incoming resin and glass-fiber inspection and continues through winding, curing and dimensional checks. Depending on the project specification, final verification can include hydrostatic pressure, Barcol hardness, tensile, bending, deformation, resin-content, corrosion-resistance and appearance inspection.

FRP, GRP or GRE Pipe: What Is the Difference?

FRP is the general term for fiber-reinforced plastic. GFRP and GRP identify pipe reinforced specifically with glass fiber, while GRE refers to glass-reinforced epoxy pipe. Fortis manufactures these configurations within the same composite piping range, but they are not interchangeable in every application. Resin selection must be checked against the transported chemical, concentration, temperature and required mechanical performance.

Proven for Long-Distance Infrastructure Projects

Fortis FRP piping has been used for water transmission, corrosive wastewater, chemical processing, desalination, geothermal, mining, marine and oilfield applications. In a recent Libya oilfield firewater pipeline project, Fortis supplied an 8 km filament-wound FRP pipeline designed for strong UV exposure, saline-alkaline soil and temperatures from −5°C to 50°C. The completed system passed hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times the design pressure.
