Our FRP Core Shaft (Composite Mandrel) is engineered to replace heavy steel or aluminum shafts in high-speed winding, slitting, and rewinding lines. Traditional metal shafts suffer from rust, corrosion, and gradual dynamic imbalance — leading to vibration, material waste, and machine downtime.
Made from continuous glass/carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin via pultrusion or filament winding, our FRP core shaft offers 1/3 the weight of steel with equal or higher stiffness. The surface is corrosion-proof, non-magnetic, and requires no protective coating. With precision ground outer diameter (tolerance as low as 0.03mm) and dynamic balancing up to G2.5 (or higher), it ensures smooth operation even at line speeds exceeding 500 m/min. It is the ideal core shaft for air chucks, lug chucks, or mechanical chucks in paper, film, foil, textile, and battery separator production lines.
