The FRP drainage channel is a modular trench drain system manufactured from fiberglass reinforced plastic using either pultrusion or compression molding processes. It consists of a U-shaped channel body and a matching grating cover, designed to collect and convey surface water, chemicals, or wastewater efficiently while withstanding heavy traffic loads.

Unlike traditional concrete or metal trench drains, FRP drainage channels offer exceptional corrosion resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and industrial chemicals. The material is completely non-conductive and will not rust, rot, or spall. Individual channel sections (typically 1000mm or 2000mm in length) are joined together with sealing gaskets or chemical bonding to create a continuous, leak-proof drainage system.

FRP channels are available in multiple load classes from A15 (pedestrian use) to F900 (airport/port heavy traffic), with depths ranging from 100mm to 500mm. The smooth interior surface promotes self-cleaning flow velocities and resists sediment buildup. Matching gratings come in mesh, slot, or solid configurations, with optional anti-slip surfaces for safety in wet or oily conditions. Complete prefabrication reduces on-site labor by 70% compared to cast-in-place concrete drains, and the lightweight design (80% lighter than concrete) eliminates the need for heavy lifting equipment during installation.
